Characteristics of this cable are:

Although bare copper is reasonably resistant to corrosion, bare copper wire is more susceptible to oxidation over time than tinned copper wire. Oxidation can lead to electrical degradation and cable failure, but tinned copper conductors protect against moisture and pollution and accelerated corrosion in the environment.
